First Day
We meet at Malta International Airport at 05:15 for the KM100 flight which departs at 07:05 and arrives at Heathrow at 09:45. Afterward, we depart by coach towards Windsor. Those interested will have the opportunity to visit Windsor Castle (extra entrance fee). We then continue our journey towards Cardiff in Wales, but before that, we stop to see Caerphilly Castle (extra entrance fee). Upon arrival at the Radisson Blu Hotel Cardiff - 4 Stars, we proceed with room assignments and an outing with the leader.
Second Day
Buffet breakfast, followed by a city tour around the beautiful city of Cardiff, which is the largest city and capital of Wales. This city is the center of commerce and the base for many national cultural and sports institutions in Wales. Here, we will see St. John the Baptist Church, the Millennium Stadium, the Castle, Castle Park, City Hall, the National Stadium, Cardiff Bay, and the Wales Millennium Centre. We will have free time to walk around Cardiff Bay. In the evening, an outing with the leader.
Third Day
An exciting excursion to the city of Swansea. This is a coastal city in Wales and the second largest city after Cardiff. In Swansea, we will visit the Castle Square, the church dedicated to St. Mary, the National Waterfront, and the Maritime Quarter. Here, we will have time for lunch (extra). In the afternoon, we will visit the Gower Peninsula, known for its coast and popular with hikers. In Gower, we will visit Mumbles Pier, where the lighthouse has been operating since 1794. It still operates today. We will continue our journey until we reach Langland Bay, very famous as a summer resort. Langland Bay is particularly popular with surfers. We will return to the hotel.
Fourth Day
After breakfast, we will have a free day to enjoy the city of Cardiff and its attractions. For those who love shopping, you can visit St David Shopping Centre, where you will find about two hundred shops. For sports enthusiasts, you can visit the Principality Stadium (extra entrance fee and booking in advance recommended). Nature lovers can spend time in the natural beauty of Bute Park. All these attractions are located near the hotel.
Fifth Day
Today's excursion will take us to the small town of St Davids, but first, we will make a short stop at Newgale Beach, a beach surrounded by a wall that acts as a refuge for a village due to storms and high waves. However, often rocks and debris are washed onto the main road. After this stop, we continue towards the small town of St Davids. This is the smallest city in England in terms of both size and population. It is the place where St David, the patron saint of Wales, is buried. We will continue our journey to Tenby, a seaside resort town. Here, we will see Castle Beach, the castle, the Fishermen's Harbour, St Mary's Church, the Tudor Merchants House, and St Catherine’s Island. We will have free time for lunch (extra) and shopping on High Street.
Sixth Day
An interesting excursion to the city of Bristol. In the city of Bristol, we will visit the most interesting places, such as Queen Square, Millennium Waterfront Square, City Hall, Bristol Cathedral, where many graduations take place, and College Green. We will see Clifton Suspension Bridge and Clifton Observatory. We will have free time for souvenir shopping. We will return to the hotel, with an evening outing with the leader.
Seventh Day
English breakfast and it's time to leave Cardiff and begin our journey to Heathrow. However, before that, we will visit the city of Oxford, where we will stop for sightseeing and visit places of interest. We will have time for lunch (extra) and shopping for souvenirs. We will continue our journey to Heathrow Airport for the KM107 flight, which departs at 19:05 and arrives back in Malta at 23:20.
