Meet at 12:30 with the tour leader at the Malta International Airport. Check in for our flight EK110 departing Dubai and arriving at 15:35. Lunch on board.
Arrive Dubai at 01:05 (Local time) At 03:45 we fly to Bangkok (breakfast on board) with EK376 and arrive at 13:20 (local time). Transfer to hotel, located in the city center. Assignment of rooms at the Hotel Arnoma 4 star. After a familiarization walk we’ll have some free time to rest. In the evening you can join the tour leader for an optional dinner at ‘Baiyoke Sky’ restaurant’ for a Seafood & international buffet on the 78 floors.
After the buffet breakfast, we offer you a full day excursion - The Grand Palace, City and Temple Tour. Our tour starts by the Grand Palace Complex, which includes the Temple of The Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), which is unquestionably one of the wonders of the world. Within its enormous grounds is the most exotic Buddhist temple and at the heart of the temple itself is a fabulous Buddha image, carved from one piece of jade, which is the holiest and most revered of religious objects in Thailand today. During the city tour we’ll explore many highlights of this amazing city. We’ll visit the capital’s most stunning temples: Wat Traimit – which houses the largest solid gold Buddha (5.5 tons of precious metal!); Wat Pho - the oldest temple in Bangkok and houses the Reclining Buddha, a 45-metre-long statue. In the evening you can join the tour leader for an unforgettable night for Dinner & live music while cruising on Chao Phraya river, and enjoy Bangkok by night!
Another exciting full day excursion to the Floating Market in Damnoen Saduk and the Woodland Muangmai. Our coach will take us to the most colorful Floating Market in the kingdom. It is situated 100kms west of Bangkok and on the way, you can enjoy some of the most exotic and beautiful, Thai scenery. Afterwards we depart to Woodland Muangmai. Thailand is very well known for its fine quality woodwork, which has remained one of its biggest fields of craftsmanship to date. In Woodland Muangmai we can see some of the very finest pieces of woodworking and craftsmanship in Thailand today. We will be able to access up to ten differently-themed rooms, each one showing a unique form or theme of wooden creations. We will have enough time to marvel at these splendid works before we head off to the Thai Village within the location itself to enjoy a traditional lunch (included) to keep up with the atmosphere of your trip. In the evening you can join the tour leader to visit the Asiatique River Front night market with 1500 small shops and 40 Asian and International restaurants.
After breakfast, depart to Ayutthaya the former capital of Thailand. Our first visit is the magnificent architecture of Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, the holiest temple with the old Royal Palace. Witness the iconic three chedis or bell- shaped pagodas which are the only buildings restored after the temple’s destruction. Stand in awe at Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, with its towering stupa and golden statues. Encounter rows of seated Buddhas in bright, saffron robes. Marvel at the reclining Buddha at). Wat Pho. In the afternoon we’ll cruise back to Bangkok along the Chao Phraya River and witness the rural lifestyle of the local people. Aboard you’ll be served a buffet lunch (included)
Transfer to airport for a direct flight (1hr 20min) to Chiang Rai. The province is rich in tourism resources in terms of natural attractions and antiquities, evidence of its past civilisation. It is also home to various hilltribes who follow fascinating ways of life. On our way to the hotel we’ll stop to visit the world’s famous Wat Long Khun also known as The White Temple. This temple is flamboyantly adorned and, has a striking façade of pure white. Check in at the Hote Sann 4 star in Chiang Rai city centre. Dinner in a restaurant.
Today’s excursion will take us to the famous Golden Triangle found in Chiang Rai - the point where the three countries of Laos, Burma and Thailand meet on the mighty river Mae Kong. The Hill Tribes village marks the start of our excursion. Here you will experience Thailand’s famous Long Neck Women. Next is the fun boat ride to Don Sao in Laos. Dinner at the hotel.
Another interesting day. We depart Chiang Rai to Wiang Pa Pao located in Mae Kachan Natural Hot Springs. From there we’ll proceed to Chiang Mai to explore the city’s most interesting sites. Lunch and Check in at the 4 star Hotel Suriwongse located in the city centre. In the evening you can join the tour leader (optional) for a unique and thrilling Night Safari experience. This is considered as the most beautiful Night Safari in the world. Twice the size of the Singapore Night Safari as it stands on over 300 acres, just 10km from the centre of Chiang Mai.
A great day in Chiang Mai is awaiting us! Today we’ll visit the Doi Inthanon National Park - a true jewel of natural beauty, consisting of rugged mountainous terrain blanketed by lush tropical forests and dotted with mighty rivers and majestic waterfalls. After Lunch (included) we visit the Royal project gardens. Before we go back to the hotel we make the last stop but not least to ‘Mae Ya Waterfall’ this is stunning waterfall within the National Park that you shouldn’t miss when you visit Doi Inthanon.
A must see, on any visit to Chiang Mai, is the wonderful and holy temple of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, often referred to as Doi Suthep which is the name of the mountain where it’s located. Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is one of the north’s most sacred temples, established in 1383. We’ll also visit the Hmong Village found near the summit of Doi Pui., in which, about 1,000 Hmong Hill Tribe people live.
Early morning flight back to Bangkok (flight 1hr 15 min). By our private coach we proceed for a unique experience to Kanchanaburi – a town in the west of Thailand. Our first stop is the famous Bridge on the river Kwai. From there we’ll proceed to the jungle resort hotel Pung-Waan in the area of Kanchanaburi - a delightful resort for a memorable River Kwai experience. Late afternoon we’ll travel by long tail boats to visit the Kaeng Lawa Cave. Dinner at the hotel.
After breakfast we have the opportunity to visit a local elephant camp for a memorable ride through the jungle, and a slow gliding trip along the river itself on board a bamboo raft to fully appreciate the beauty of the river Kwai. After lunch (included) we’ll take a train trip along the Death Railway scenic sightseeing of countryside with it’s exciting passing by wooden viaduct built by the P.O.W.S, situated on a sheer cliff side over-looking the River Kwai. Today we depart to Pattaya Beach - the world’s renowned seaside tourist resort on the eastern shore of Thailand. On our way we make a visit to the Phra Pathom Chedi the second tallest stupa in the world. Then we proceed to Pattaya and arrive late in the afternoon. Check in at the A-One Royal Cruise Hotel. The hotel faces the fascinating sea view of Pattaya’s beach front promenade . Dinner at the hotel
After breakfast we visit the Suan Nong Nooch Village in Chonburi covering an area of some 500 acres. Suan Nong Nooch is a Thai-village-style recreation cum vacation Park. The entire area is beautifully landscaped, with orchid nursery and other botanical gardens. There are also cultural and traditional performances inclusive of an amazing elephant show. Today we offer you a half day excursion to Coral Island aboard speed boats. The island is surrounded by colorful coral reefs, hence the name Coral Island. The island has two long stretches of white, sandy beach on one side, and a few quiet bays on the other. Afterwards, you’ll have a free afternoon for personal sightseeing and shopping. In the evening we offer you an optional cabaret show, Tiffany’s’ -Thailand’s most spectacular Parisian-like show.
Another day Not To be Missed’ ! After breakfast a short trip takes us to Wang Boran ‘Sanctuary of Truth’ is a religious construction in Pattaya, The sanctuary is an all-wood building filled with sculptures based on traditional Buddhist and Hindu motifs. The top of the building is 105 meters high, It features contemporary visionary art based on traditional religious themes. The project was initiated as an idea of Thai businessman Lek Viriyaphant in 1981, and is scheduled to be complete in 2050. Then we proceed to visit the Gem Factory and ‘The Biggest Jewelry Shop’ in the world. Back to the hotel in the afternoon. Free time shopping, relax and enjoy Pattaya,
Today is a leisure day for personal sightseeing and last-minute shopping opportunities. We can keep the rooms till 18:30. Dinner at the hotel and at 20:00 transfer to Bangkok airport.
Fly back to Malta by EK385 at 01:35 via Dubai. Arrive back to Malta by EK 109 at 14:05.
