Thursday, 13th March: We meet the tour leader at 09:00 at Malta International Airport for the Ryanair flight FR7108 to Bari, departing at 11:15 and arriving at 12:35. We depart by coach to the village of Trani, one of the most beautiful fishing villages in Puglia. Upon arrival, the leader takes us to Villa Comunale, from where we can see the main entrance to the port on the Adriatic. We also visit Piazza della Repubblica. Free time. Afterwards, we continue by coach to Andria for check-in at the 4-star Cristal Palace Hotel. After the meal, we meet the tour leader for a first outing around Andria.
Friday, 14th March: Breakfast: We begin a panoramic journey to discover the beauty of Gargano. A scenic trip to Monte Sant'Angelo, one of the most beautiful areas of Puglia. Here, we visit the miraculous great cave of Saint Michael. After a moment of reflection, we depart for San Giovanni Rotondo. With the leader, we visit the churches and museum related to where Padre Pio lived. Time for personal prayer, shopping for souvenirs, and meals. We return to Andria after enjoying beautiful scenery.
Saturday, 15th March: Breakfast: We depart by coach for Bari, the capital of the Puglia region. Bari, known as "the second Naples." With the leader, we take an interesting tour of the historic center, visiting the Basilica of San Nicola, Piazza Ferrarese, Teatro Petruzzelli, and the beauty of the seafront. Free time in Via Sparano for individual shopping. We return to Andria, have dinner, and in the evening, we go on another outing with the leader to enjoy the beautiful city of Andria, including Corso Cavour and Piazza Catuma.
Sunday, 16th March: Breakfast: Today is one of the highlights of the trip. A beautiful day: We depart for Polignano al Mare. With the leader, we tour to discover the beauty of the seafront, cliffs, and caves. We continue to the historic center, the Lama Monachile beach, and the Modugno monument. Time for food, a coffee, or a "super mago del gelo." Departure for Alberobello. We pass through the agricultural landscape of Puglia, adorned with olive trees and Trulli in the Valle d'Itria. Upon arrival in Alberobello, another walk with the leader to discover the beauty of the Trulli (Rione Monti), a UNESCO World Heritage site. Time to enjoy this unique town in Puglia and its distinctive Trulli houses, with some coffee and shopping for beautiful local souvenirs.
Monday, 17th March: Breakfast: Today we begin with the beautiful Sanctuary dedicated to Madonna dei Miracoli. Here, we find three churches built on top of each other and much artistic work. We then continue the journey to the small, charming ancient town of Giovinazzo. A walk with the leader through the pedestrian area, with well-preserved streets and alleys, exploring Villa Comunale, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, the small local harbor full of fishing boats, and Piazza Duomo. We then continue to Bari airport to return to Malta on Ryanair Flight FR9874, departing at 21:45 and arriving in Malta at 23:05.
