The First Day

We convene at Malta's international airport at 05:25 to catch Air Malta flight KM612, scheduled to depart at 07:25 and arrive at Rome airport by 09:00 am. Following our arrival, we board a coach for our first destination in the Lazio region, Castello Gandolfo and Lago Albano. Led by our guide, we embark on an orientation tour around the city, known as the summer residence of the Pope. Our exploration includes Piazza della Liberta', Via Roma, Via Palazzo Pontificio, and the Belvedere, offering breathtaking views of Lago Albano. Enjoy some free time before we continue our journey by coach to the Umbria region, arriving in the city of Terni. We check into Hotel Michelangelo Palace, a 4-star accommodation, and join an outing with our guide. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

The Second Day

Begin your day with breakfast. Today's excursion takes us to the enchanting city of Arezzo, situated in the Tuscan region. Arezzo is surrounded by monuments, churches, and palaces that offer a delightful main itinerary for visitors. Guided by our leader, we explore Piazza Guido Monaco, Basilica San Francesco, Maria Delle Pieve, Piazza Grande, Palazzo della Provincia, Piazza della Liberty, and the Cathedral of San Pietro and San Donato. Enjoy some free time on the elegant shopping street, Corso Italy.

In the afternoon, we depart for Terni. For those in Group A, the evening brings an opportunity to join a procession with many pilgrims, carrying the statue of Christ dead and Our Lady of Sorrows, departing from the San Francisco church. For Group B, upon arrival, there is free time for shopping and personal sightseeing. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

The Third Day

Start your day with breakfast. Subsequently, we head southwest to explore the city of Orvieto. Guided by our leader, we visit the Cathedral, a masterpiece of the Middle Ages, located opposite the Torre Del Moro on Corso Cavour, Via Duomo, and the elegant Piazza della Repubblica. Afterward, there is some free time before we proceed to the Cascata delle Marmore (optional), one of the highest waterfalls in Europe and a natural attraction that has become one of the most spectacular sites in Umbria.

We then return to Terni, and for those in Group A, there is the opportunity to participate in the "Celebrazione della Pasquale's Vigil." Dinner will be served at the hotel.

The Fourth Day

Begin your day with breakfast. The excursion will lead us to the medieval city of Gubbio, where we will explore the Giardini del 40 Martyrs, Via Repubblica, Via XX Settembre, Palazzo dei Consoli, and Piazza Grande, offering a panoramic view of the valleys of Umbria. Following this, there will be some free time before we set off for Foligno.

In Foligno, take a stroll through the historic center, where we will discover various buildings, beautiful religious structures, and noble palaces. Our exploration continues to Porta Romana, Corso Cavour, St. Cathedral Feliciano, and finally, Piazza della Repubblica, where the immensely beautiful Municipio is located. Enjoy some free time before returning to the hotel for dinner.

The Fifth Day

Today's excursion begins amidst lush fields, vineyards, olive trees, and renowned hilltop villages. We explore the Franciscan city of Assisi, delving into Renaissance masterpieces. Guided by our leader, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, housing the tomb of the Saint and Giotto's masterpieces. Our journey continues through Via Francesco, Piazza del Comune, and the Basilica of Santa Chiara.

Afterwards, we have free time to soak in the Easter atmosphere within the Historic Center of Assisi. Following this, we depart for the Basilica Santa Maria degli Angeli and the Porziuncola. Continuing our exploration by coach, we reach Spoleto, a popular tourist destination. Here, we discover the Cathedral, Piazza della Liberta, and Corso Mazzini. Subsequently, there is some free time before returning to the hotel in Terni for dinner.

 

The Sixth Day

We commence our day with breakfast and embark on a journey to Perugia, the largest city in Umbria. Accompanied by our tour leader, we explore the Historic Centre, uncovering hidden gems such as the underground tunnels and fortress chambers of Rocca Paolina, Piazza Italia, Corso Pietro Vannicci, Piazza della Repubblica, the Cathedral, and the Belvedere of Giardini Carducci.

Following our exploration, we have some free time before heading to CASA DEL CIOCCOLATA PERUGINA. Here, we have the option to take a factory tour, immersing ourselves in a unique chocolate experience (additional cost). We then return to Terni for dinner at the hotel.

The Seventh Day

After having breakfast, we depart from Terni and begin our journey to the Lazio region, heading towards the capital city, Rome. Our coach will take us to various historical sites within the city, and we will embark on a walking tour led by our guide. During this exploration of Rome, we will visit iconic places such as Piazza del Popolo, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Venezia, Fontana di Trevi, and Piazza Navona.

Following the city tour, some free time will be before we proceed to Tivoli. In Tivoli, we will have the opportunity to explore the 16th-century Villa d'Este (optional), renowned for its exquisite Italian Renaissance garden adorned with numerous fountains.

After we visit Tivoli, we will go to Fiumicino airport, where we will catch our return flight to Malta. The flight, Air Malta KM 615, is scheduled to depart at 20:50.
