Wednesday, September 11

We convene at Malta International Airport at 05:30 to check in for flight KM394 departing at 07:25, destined for Amsterdam Schiphol, where we arrive at 10:50. Upon arrival, we embark on a city tour of Amsterdam's landmarks, including the Royal Palace, National Monument, Dam Square, Rembrandt Square, Skinny Bridge, Anne Frank House, and the iconic canals. We also admire the historic mill on the river Amstel. Continuing our journey, we proceed to Rotterdam, where we check into the NH Atlanta 4-star Hotel in the city center. An evening outing with the leader is planned.

 

Thursday, September 12

After a buffet breakfast, we embark on an excursion to Marken and Volendam, exploring the picturesque Dutch countryside. In addition to visiting these charming fishing villages, we tour Zaanse Schans, renowned for its windmills, and a traditional farm where cheese and wooden shoes (Clogs) are produced. Return to the hotel for leisure time to explore Rotterdam's shopping center.

Friday, September 13

Following breakfast, we embark on a walking city tour of Rotterdam, visiting landmarks like Central Station, Old Harbour, the converted Cruiseliner hotel, and the Market Hall. An optional visit to the Cube Houses Museum (extra entry) is available. For those interested, there's an opportunity to ascend the 185-meter-high Euromast Tower. Later, enjoy a cruise through Rotterdam's port.

 

Saturday, September 14

Today, we gather after breakfast for a full day of fun at Efteling Theme Park (extra entry), renowned as the most beautiful theme park in the Netherlands. With attractions for all ages, including roller coasters, rides, and shows, it promises an unforgettable experience. Return to the hotel at the end of the day.

 

Sunday, September 15

We venture to the beautiful city of Antwerp in Belgium for a guided city tour, exploring landmarks such as Groenplaats, Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal cathedral, the Rubens statue, Gothic alleys, and the Grote Markt (Great Market Square). Enjoy free time for personal exploration and shopping in the city's charming shops.

Monday, September 16

Our final day begins with a visit to Kinderdijk, renowned for its iconic windmills, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Optional boat trips around the canal are available. Later, we transfer to Schiphol Airport to check in for flight KM387 departing at 17:55, arriving back in Malta at 21:00.
