Thursday, 17th April
We meet at Malta Airport at 12:20 for flight KM490, departing at 14:20. We arrive in Zurich at 16:40. Transfer to Mulhouse, France, located on a plateau between the Vosges Mountains and the Rhine River.
This charming city has a population of 112,000 people. Upon our arrival in Mulhouse, we continue to the 3-star+ Hotel Bristol located in the city center. Room allocation, dinner at the hotel for those who selected the Half Board option.
Friday, 18th April
An exciting excursion to the heart of the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland, where we will visit the Mannlichen Mountain and then Interlaken. We begin our journey to Grindelwald, passing through a picturesque landscape, until we reach Grindelwald where we will take the cable car (extra) to ascend Mannlichen Mountain. From there, we enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and villages. The last short stop will be in Interlaken, where we will take a tour with the leader and, from the Höhematte, we will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the Jungfrau and Eiger mountains. After some free time, we return to Mulhouse.
Saturday, 19th April
After a buffet breakfast, we embark on an interesting excursion to Strasbourg and Riquewihr in France. Our first stop will be in Strasbourg, a very elegant city of great importance. Together, we will visit Petite France, the Old Quarters, Palais du Europe, European Parliament, L'Orangerie, and the famous Strasbourg Cathedral of Notre Dame. Free time for souvenir shopping. In the afternoon, we leave Strasbourg and head towards the beautiful medieval village of Riquewihr. This village, with its well-preserved architecture, feels like time has stood still. The locals lead a quiet life, and the main industry is wine production. We will explore this small village, with its winding, car-free streets, and visit the many quaint shops, including a Christmas shop that is open year-round, cafes, bakeries, restaurants, hotels, old wells, fountains, and colorful houses with storks nesting on their rooftops. We return to the hotel.
Sunday, 20th April
Discover the beauty of the Black Forest in Germany with us. We begin our excursion to St. Peter's, where we stop for sightseeing. Afterwards, we continue to Triberg, a mountain resort famous for Cuckoo Clocks and Music Boxes, all handmade by local craftsmen. After some free time for souvenir shopping, we make our last stop in Titisee, a picturesque place surrounded by a lake, where you can enjoy a walk around the lake or indulge in a delicious piece of Black Forest Cake! We return to the hotel.
Monday, 21st April
A day full of fun for both children and adults at Europa Theme Park (entrance ticket not included). Here you will find everything you could wish for in a world of dreams and adventures, such as roller coasters, canoeing, shooting galleries, ghost trains, and many more attractions that will surely make for a day you’ll never forget. With your ticket, you can enjoy unlimited access to rides and shows. We return to the hotel.
Tuesday, 22nd April
We visit the city of Colmar, known for the regional Alsace wine. We will take a tourist train ride (extra) and appreciate the historic center, filled with art and culture, including houses resembling puppets, as well as the so-called Little Venice – a district full of canals that reminds us of Venice. We will also visit the house of Bartholdi, the sculptor who designed the Statue of Liberty in New York. It's no wonder many refer to Colmar as one of the most beautiful small cities in Europe. We return to the hotel.
In the afternoon, we will have free time to visit the ‘Musée National de l’Automobile’, the Zoo, or shop in the pedestrian area near the hotel. In the evening, a guided walk with the leader.
Wednesday, 23rd April
Today's outing takes us to the beautiful city of Lucerne in Switzerland, the capital of the Canton of the same name. Among other sights, we will visit the famous Wooden Bridge, a landmark of the city, and the Jesuit Church built in the Baroque style. We will continue to the Old Town with its picturesque streets, see the Town Hall, and the Lion Monument – a tribute to the Swiss Guards who were killed during the French Revolution. After the city tour, we will have free time for souvenir shopping. If you wish, you can choose to take a cruise (extra) on Lake Lucerne. In the evening, a guided walk with the leader.
Thursday, 24th April
We depart by coach to Neuhausen to see the famous Rhine Falls, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Europe. We stop to enjoy and relax in the beauty of nature. There will be an opportunity to eat (extra) or take a short walk near these marvelous falls. We then head to Zurich Airport with many beautiful memories. We check in for flight KM491, departing at 17:20, and arrive back in Malta at 19:35.
