Italian jewels
First Day
We meet at Malta International Airport at 04:30 for flight KM612, which departs at 07:00 to Rome, where we arrive at 08:35. Upon arrival, we transfer to the city of Arezzo, located in the heart of the region, where we explore its rich history, culture, and artistic heritage. We continue to Montecatini Terme, where we will stay in a 4-star hotel in the center. Outing with the tour leader and dinner at the hotel.
Second Day
Together, we explore the beauty of the city of Florence. Here, we visit the famous Duomo, where those who wish can climb to the top of the dome for a beautiful view of Florence. We also visit the Baptistery and the famous bell tower designed by Giotto, the Cathedral, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza Signoria. We will also have free time for shopping and personal sightseeing.
Third Day
Excursion to Pistoia, where we take a tour of the historic center, visiting the Cathedral and Palazzo del Comune, among other sites. We continue to the Barberino Designer Outlet located in Barberino di Mugello, where we can find various renowned shops with discounted prices. In the evening, those who wish can join the tour leader to visit Montecatini Alto (extra for the cable car).
Fourth Day
A beautiful excursion will take us to Portofino in Liguria. Our first stop is at St. Margerita di Liguria, where we take a tour of the historic center of the town. We visit the 17th-century baroque basilica, as well as the castle. We then stroll along the promenade, lined with Al Fresco bars and restaurants. Next, we take the boat (extra) to Portofino, one of the jewels of the Italian coastline, an elegant and romantic place that captivates with its natural beauty. We walk along the harbor where we see stunning yachts, charming little shops, and cafes. From the hill, we see Castello Braun and the church dedicated to St. Martin. We have free time, and those who wish can take a short hike up the hill. We then return by boat, taking a 30-minute trip to Rapallo, with its beautiful promenade lined with palm trees, where we can enjoy a great view of the beach surrounded by colorful buildings and the Rapallo castle.
Fifth Day
We invite you to enjoy with us the famous cities of Siena and San Gimignano. We begin our excursion to Siena, where we see the famous Cathedral, the square, and the majestic Palazzo Comunale. We continue to San Gimignano, a place that enchants with its culture and nature. Here, we visit the Duomo, Palazzo del Popolo, and the Town Hall. After some free time, we return to Montecatini.
Sixth Day
After breakfast, we have an exciting excursion to Pisa and Lucca. Our first stop is in Pisa, where we take a tour with the leader to see the famous Leaning Tower, Piazza dei Miracoli, the Cathedral, and the Baptistery in Campo Santo. We will have some free time for souvenir shopping. We then continue to Montecarlo, known for its excellent wine and olive oil. Here, we enjoy a 'Tuscan Merenda Tasting' (not included), which consists of wine tasting and Tuscan cold cuts. Afterward, we proceed to the elegant and refined town of Lucca, where we visit places of interest such as the Cathedral of San Martin and Piazza Anfiteatro. Dinner at the hotel.
Seventh Day
After breakfast, we transfer by coach to the town of Orvieto. Together with the tour leader, we take a tour of the town, where we explore narrow and charming streets, the main square, palaces, picturesque alleys, and the Cathedral of Orvieto. Free time for lunch, and then we continue to Linate Airport for check-in for flight KM625, which departs at 21:00, arriving back in Malta at 23:05.
