We will convene at Malta International Airport at 06:15 to check in for flight KM306 departing at 09:00, bound for Munich, where we arrive at 11:30. Upon arrival, we transfer by coach to the center of Munich for a guided tour led by our tour leader. We'll explore Marienplatz, dominated by the bell towers of Frauenkirchen, and visit the famous Rathaus clock, Glockenspiel. Other highlights include Isar Tor, St. Michael's Kirche, Karlsplatz, and the vibrant streets of Neuhausan Strabe and Kaufinge Strabe. Continuing our journey, we head to Kufstein and check into Hotel Goldener Lowe. In the evening, we enjoy an outing with the leader.
Today, we embark on a memorable excursion to Grossglockner, Austria's highest peak at 3,798m. We'll traverse the scenic Grossglocknerstraße to reach the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe, offering breathtaking views of the snow-covered mountains. Optional cable car rides to Pasterze, Austria's longest glacier, are available for those interested.
Experience the wonder of Krimml Falls, also known as The Wonderful World of Water, on a unique half-day excursion. After a scenic journey through picturesque landscapes, we arrive at Krimml to witness Europe's highest waterfalls. Return to the hotel for an evening outing with the leader.
Our day begins with a journey to Herrenchimsee, stopping at Prien to admire the Gauge Railway. A boat ride (extra) takes us to Herrenisland to explore the magnificent palace, reminiscent of Versailles, and its museum (extra entry). The afternoon is devoted to strolling through the palace gardens. In the evening, another outing with the leader awaits.
Following breakfast, we embark on a historic excursion to Salzburg and Hellbrunn Palace. Explore Salzburg's landmarks, including the Cathedral, Residence Square, and Mozart's house. Optional visits to Hohensalzburg fortress and Hellbrunn Palace, renowned for its trick fountains, are available. Return to the hotel after a day filled with exploration.
Today's journey takes us to Trento via Innsbruck, the capital city of Tyrol. In Innsbruck, we marvel at landmarks such as the Golden Roof and Maria Theresianstrasse. Continuing to Trento, we check into Gran Hotel Trento 4-star. An evening outing with the leader is planned.
Venture to Trauttmansdorff Castle to explore its magnificent gardens (extra entry). Afterward, visit Merano, a medieval town, to see landmarks like Castello Principesco and the Duomo. Return to the hotel after a day of discovery.
Enjoy a full day amidst the stunning scenery of the Dolomites. Visit picturesque villages like Val Genova and Cascate Nardis before arriving in Madonna di Campiglio, a renowned resort. Optional cable car rides offer panoramic views of the Dolomites. Return to Trento with cherished memories.
Embark on a fascinating half-day excursion to Bolzano, the largest city in South Tyrol. Explore Piazza Walther and the city center before visiting the museum housing Ötzi - the man who came from the snow (extra entry). Return to Trento to further explore its historical and cultural attractions.
After breakfast, bid farewell to Trento and head to Sirmione, the gem of Lake Garda. Take a guided tour of its picturesque streets lined with boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. Later, transfer to Linate Airport for flight KM625 departing at 15:25, arriving back in Malta at 17:25.
