We gather at Malta International Airport at 04:00 for flight KM514 departing at 06:05, arriving in Vienna at 08:25. Upon arrival, we transfer by coach to the center of Vienna, where a local guide leads us on a city tour to explore historical landmarks including Belvedere Palace, Rathaus, Parliament, the majestic buildings along Ringstraße, Hofburg Palace, and St. Stephen's Cathedral. After free time for food and shopping, we depart by coach to Linz. Check-in is at Hotel Goldener Adler 3*, located in the center of Linz.
After buffet breakfast, we embark on a fascinating excursion to Passau, known as The Three River city because the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers converge here. Highlights include the Baroque-style Cathedral of St. Stephen, home to the largest church organ in the world, Rathaus, and the University. A stroll around the Old Town provides free time for exploration before returning to the hotel.
Following breakfast, we enjoy a city tour of Linz, visiting landmarks such as the Cathedral, Main Square, Trinity Column, Linz Castle, and Mozart House. An optional ride on the Lingbergbahn mountain tram offers stunning views from Postlingberg, where we visit the Pilgrimage Basilica. Afternoon options include a cruise along the Danube river (extra).
Join us on a discovery of Hallstatt, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its natural beauty. Highlights include the church of Santa Maria and the Beinhaus (Bone House) with an optional visit (additional entry). Guests can opt for a train ride to visit the world's oldest Salt Mine (extra entry) for panoramic views of Hallstatter lake, followed by a relaxing lake cruise (extra) to soak in the natural splendor.
Enjoy a buffet breakfast before our excursion to Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic, renowned as the most beautiful city of Bohemia and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the historic center and optionally visit the castle (additional entry) during free time.
After breakfast, we venture to the lake district of Austria, starting with St. Wolfgang, a picturesque town on Lake Wolfgangsee. Explore the church dedicated to San Wolfgang and then proceed to St. Gilgen, known as the 'Gem of the region', where you can visit Mozart's House and take a cable car ride up Zwölferhorn for stunning views of Lake Wolfgangsee. Return to the hotel with cherished memories.
Our journey takes us to the 'Wachau Valley' to visit Dürnstein and Krems. Explore Dürnstein's charming streets, famous for its wine production and the ruins of its castle. Then, head to Krems an der Donau, with over 1000 years of history, for free time before continuing to Vienna for flight KM517 departing at 17:00, arriving in Malta at 19:20.
