SOUTH ENGLAND

SOUTH ENGLAND

Southampton & plymouth

Visiting: Windsor, Southampton, Brighton, Chichester, Salisbury, Michaels Mount, Dartmoor National Park, Greevor Tim Mine, Exeter, Dartmouth, Padstow, Tintagel, Boscastle .....

Soon after you land, set foot in the town of Windsor, with its imposing Windsor Castle.
Not to be missed is the Windsor Great Park, back in time, a private hunting zone, now free for all to enjoy.  The next stop is Eton, the town which still hosts one of the four,  full boarding schools for boys in the United Kingdom.

Brighton your day at Brighton where the Royal Pavillion, built in Indo-Gothic style, with its magnificent domes and minarets, will leave a huge impression on you.  Continue to enjoy this seaside resort  when you pass through the 17th century winding streets before you proceed to the popular Brighton Pier where the smell of the traditional fish and chips will make your mouth water.
Move on to West Sussex with the aim in mind to view the charming Arundel Castle and its treasures within.

Have you ever been a fan of the Royal Navy.
This trip will offer you the opportunity to go onboard historical vessels at the Portsmouth Historic Shipyard as well as spend time at the Emirates Spinnaker Tower where you will be fascinated to learn some of the secrets of the Navy.
The excursion expands to Chichester, dominated by its long history of Roman settlement and landmarked by the Cathedral which poses Norman and Gothic styles and has been referred to many times as the “most typical English Cathedral”.

More of cathedrals, this time in the city of Salisbury which boasts of the cathedral with the tallest structure in the whole of England.  Think of our ancestors while experiencing the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge and take loads of pictures of the stones against a green backdrop.

The highlight of the next excursion is St.
Michael’s Mount, a tidal island, home to a small community.  If the tide is out, you will venture to the island using the causeway, if not, a ferry will take you across the water to the island.
Once there, explore the beautiful land with its medieval church and castle.
Following this, you will be transferred to the quaint village of St.
Ives and later to the Geevor Tin Mine in Pendeen, in the far west of Cornwall.

Next on the menu is a visit to Dartmoor National Park, a park where wildlife is prominant.
Move on to Exeter, the capital of Devonshire.  Encounter the river, small shops and the Cathedral during a  pleasant walk in the streets of this city before you catch a train from Paignton Dartmouth Railway to Kingswear where a ferry will take you to Dartmouth.

Take a look at Prideau Place, built in Elizabethan style in Padstow, Cornwall.  Spend some time at the village of Padstow, set on the River Camel and see if you can spot the fishermen taking up their daily catch of lobsters.
Before your return to the hotel, investigate the village of Tintagel where the mystic King Arthur left important treasures.

This trip was planned with putting some time aside for shopping and therefore a visit to the Mall Cribbs Mall is due.
After you shop and pack, you will start your journey back home with lovely memories to hold.
