Scotland and the Highlands

Land in Glasgow, the largest city of Scotland and settle in the comfortable hotel situated on the banks of the River Clyde.  Enjoy a city tour of Glasgow covering the highlights -  mainly the dominating Glasgow Cathedral full of history, the seven storey Tolbooth Steeple Clock Tower and the Pollok House, previously owned by the Stirling Maxwell family.
Move on to the City Chambers, located at the eastern side of George Square and and make a stop in Buchanan Street for a start to your shopping.

Spend a day roaming the kingdom of Fife.
Travel to South Queensferry and take a picture of the majestic Forth Rail bridge, a UNESCO world heritage cite, voted as Scotland’s greatest man-made wonder in the recent past.
Head on to Anstruther, a town divided into two parts by the Dreel Burn Stream.
Take a stroll along the Port, and since Anstruther is a fishing village, don’t miss out on the fish and chips.
Proceed to another town in the Fife Kingdom and reach St.
Andrews to have a good look at its Castle, Cathedral and University.  Take some time to relax and walk along the sandy bay.  Spend time, in yet another part of the Fife Kingdom when travelling to the village of Falkland, a village rooting from medieval times.
Come in close proximity to Loch Leven, a fresh water lake, where offshore lies the castle where Mary, Queen of Scots was imprisioned.

Investigate  Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland and discover its traditional charm when visiting prominant sites.  Standing in Princes Street Gardens, come across the gothic Scott Monument, the biggest monument in the world dedicated to an author, in this case Walter Scott.  Enjoy the views from the Rock when you gain entrance to Edinburgh Castle.

From the Castle, drive the Mile End Road, also known as the Royal mile, to reach the Holyrood Palace.   Allow yourself time to visit the Old Town, St.
Giles Cathedral and the Scottish Parliament Building.

Become aware of open spaces,  fresh air, mountains and lakes when you travel across the Highland Pertshire.  Breath in the scenic beauty of the Glen Coe, a deep narrow valley among Scottish mountains.
You will set foot on different parts of the highlands including Breadolbane, Rannoch Moor and Buachaille Etive Mor, each one offering immense beauty of unique form.
On your way to Fort William, spot Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the United Kingdom.  Be on the look out for Nessie, the alleged monster living in the Loch Ness and enjoy another range of mountains when passing through the Cairngorms National Park.

Discover the city of Sterling, a city in the centre of Scotland.   It’s worth paying a visit to the Castle overlooking this magnificant city.
Move on to the Wallace monument, a tower also overlooking Stirling.
See if you can manage the 246 spiral staircase, not only to be able to see the view of the Castle, Ochil Hills and Forth Valley but also to visit the three galleries and the crown at the top of the tower.
Have lunch in Doune before investigating how whiskey is made in a local distillery.  Enjoy the iconic Trossach landscape as we leisurely drive along the Dukes Pass until we reach the nice village of Aberfoyle, followed by another village, that of Balmaha on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond.
