Experience the best of two beautiful countries when you visit northern Italy and Slovenia.  Kick off your adventure by visiting the Postonja caves in Slovenia. Embrace the beauty of nature as you travel along the tunnels, passages and halls and be amazed at its massiveness with a depth of 27km. From one marvel to another, welcome the view of Predjama Castle and go ahead and investigate this picturesque and mysterious castle impregnated in the rocks, and the largest cave castle in the world.

Get more acquainted with Slovenia when you travel to Izola, a fishing town,  where the local guide will relate fascinating stories about the locality, one of most interest being that at the San Mauro church where it is said that a pigeon was the salvation of the Izola.  Your guided wandering around the town will cover important sites, mainly the City Hall, Manzioli Square, Lovisato Palace, Besenghi Palace and Ljubljanska Street.  Congratulate the locals on their cuisine when you lunch at the port before you continue your journey to yet another popular resort, that of Portoroz where time is allotted fro sightseeing.

You will not leave Slovenia before you visit its capital Ljubljana. You will have enough time to look at the medieval castle, the Dragon Bridge and also enjoy  the old Town and the spacious squares this capital has to offer. Stop for a coffe or indulge in a tasty lunch and leave some time for souvenir shopping.

In Italy, spend a day at the enchanted city of Venice, the city of canals and bridges. Take out your camera and stand on the Ponte Realto and take a picture with the Grand Canal and floating Venetian gondolas as background.  While mentioning bridges, why not take another one with Ponte Dei Sospiri, the bridge made of white limestone having windows with stone bars. Dying for a coffee, the best place to take one would be in Piazza San Marco with a view of the imposing Palazzo Ducale on one side and San Marco Cathedral on the other side. And why not, maybe after you have refreshed, you may wish to go up to the Campanile di San Marco for a bird’s eye view of the romantic city. Before you depart, put aside time to have a nice stroll along the waterfront promenade at the Riva degli Schiavoni.

More of northern Italy, this time in the region of the Dolomites, a wonder in winter and another one in the summer months.  The excursion will take you to Cortina D’Ampezzo, commonly referred to as the Cortina.  Before being transported by a cable car up to one of the Dolomites Mountains to enjoy the spectacular view of the Dolomite range, you will explore the Cortina where a thousand years of history will enfold infront of you. Magnificent scenary of mountains is always complemented by lakes, thus you will have time to engage in the beauty of Lago di Misurina surrounded by the picturesque Dolomites.
