Visiting

Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakesh, Essouira,

Ourika Valley, Atlas Mountains, Timalizine....

Widen your horizon and get in touch with a different culture, in another continent when visiting the fascinating Kingdom of Morocco.  Get settled in Casablanca, the largest city in this country. Explore the city’s fusion of old and new and decide which parts you prefer more. Be prepared to see a mixture of bright colours at the Central Market where very good quality products at very reasonable prices are sold. Enhance your apetite for shopping further when you visit the commercial archades at Habous District while at the same time come across Mosques and Turkish Baths. Remain in the area and visit the Royal Palace,  an architectural masterpiece. A must see is the largest Mosque in the whole of Morocco, Hassan II Mosque with its imposing Minaret. Spend time to absorb the beautiful layout of Mohammed V Square and take memorable photos to be reminded of this one of a kind experience.

Set out on another expedition, this time to Rabat, the capital of Morocco.  The first stop will be at the Hassan Tower, which was intended to be the largest Minaret of the world together with a mosque. Although incomplete, it still offers a spectacular site and is one not to be missed.  Move across to visit the white architectural masterpiece with green roof tiling, better referred to as the Mausoleum of Muhammed V where one finds the tombs of the Moroccan King and his two sons.  Change the scenery and get closer to Bou Regreg River to visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, a citadel built in the 12th century.  Finish off today’s journey by roaming about the Medina with a highlight visit to the imposing Royal Palace and its surrounding gardens.

Discover more of the country by visiting Marrakech, another major city of Morocco. You will be spoilt for choice with the number of Mosques and Palaces, all available to welcome you.  Walk leisurely in the narrow alleys of the Medina and while listening to local music, admire the local products ranging from typical Moroccan food and spices to pottery and leatherware at the souks. Relax in the beautiful cacti Majorelle Garden and listen to the melody of different species of birds. Give credit to the architecture of the 12th century Moorish Minaret and the Kautoubi Mosque, the largest in the city of Marrakech, as well at that of Bahai and Badi Palaces.  Be thrilled by the state of the art residences in La Palmeraie, a palm oasis in the outskirts of the city. Have a closer look at the colourful, intricate mosaic work at the Saadian Tombs and spend adequate time at Jemaa el Fna Square.

Travel on the coast of the Atlantic ocean to the city of Essaoira.  The beach with its golden sands has more to offer than just a good, windy location for windsurfers.  Marvel at fishermen mending their fishing nets and at others constructing fishing boats. Prepare your taste buds for a good lunch when you feast on fresh local fish during your free time but not before you wander along the spicy smelling lanes which will enhance your apetite both for food and to purchase some local silverware.

Welcome cooler temperatures at Ourika Valley, located right in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and be amazed by the huge waterfalls. Travel through a number of Berber villages and spend time in a typical one, that of Timalizine where you will have enough opportunity to familiarise yourself with their culture.  After such adventures, it is now time to bid goodbye to magical Morocco.
