Grand Tour of China

Start off this grand tour with a big bang at Beijing, the capital of this captivating country.  Be one of the many tourists at the Fordbidden city, the former Chinese Imperial Palace. Be informed about how locals express their faith and experience their leisure life at the Temple of Heaven, a park four times the size of the Forbidden City and the largest heaven-worshipping building in the world.  Imagine the June Fourth Incident, where student-led demonstrations took place at Tiananmen Square in 1989 and the 7th largest in the world. End the day by relaxing and enjoying an acrobatic show.

Prepare your mind to be impressed with the greatness of the Great Wall for your visit at the most preserved part of the Great Wall of China, the Mutianyu Great Wall. Admire the beauty of the surrounding nature while feeling that you are at the top of the world.  Join us at one of the Jade carving factories and benefit from fantastic prices if interested to shop. Take some impressive photos of the Bird’s nest, Beijing’s Olympic stadium and admire the massive space surrounding it. Get lost in the beauty of the Summer Palace and treat yourself to a boat ride on the Kunming Lake.

Travel to Xi’ an with one aim in mind, that of seeing at close proximity the Terracotta Warriors and Horses.  Appreciate a mixture of Muslim and Chinese architecture when you visit the Great Mosque.  Walk along the Ancient City Wall where it is custom to take a bike ride. Proceed to the Wild Goose Pagoda, a buddhist pagoda. Enjoy a dumpling dinner followed by Tang Dynasty Music and Dance show.

Be dazed by the colourful surroundings on visiting the Reed Flute Cave in Guilin.  Embark on a cruise on the Li River and enjoy the stunning natural beauty, so popular for its scenic views that one of them is used on the 20 Yuan Banknote. Enjoy the one of a kind village of Yangshuo. Travel on to the Wave-Subduing Hill, partly standing in the river and the rest on land, better known as the Fubo Hill and see how many carvings of Buddha can you spot in the Thousand Buddha Cave.

Fly to the city of heroes, also known as the ‘Mountain City’ because of its mountainous environment which thankfully saved many people’s lives from bombings. Embark on a 5 star ship, the Victoria Anna for a three night cruise. Let yourself loose and enjoy what comes along with such cruises, including the ‘Captain’s Welcome Reception’, the ‘Minorities and Dynasty Costumes Show’, ‘The Crew Cabaret’ and the ‘Captain’s Farewell Banquet’. Along the journey, be fascinated by Shibaozhai and the Three Gorges, one of nature’s extraordinary sculptures and astonished at the Ship Lock, which includes the world’s largest ship lift.

More of beautiful cities, this time the city of Shanghai, situated on the Yangtze River.  Appreciate its modernisation which is totally reflected in its architectural glamour with its most unique skyscrapers.  Make your visit memorable by visiting the People Square, the Shanghai Museum, the Jade Buddha Temple and a definite must, the Yu Yuan Garden.  Take home numerous photos and souvenirs of a country which is so rich in natural beauty and which gives you a unique cultural experience.
